How can I help?

My natural skincare range, SkinScense, was formulated to bring the therapeutic benefits of essential oils to everyday living; effective and enhancing skin products which also offer emotional support and improve your sense of wellbeing. Your skin will feel softer, plumper, more hydrated and elastic and you will feel brighter, more relaxed, more uplifted.

I offer Aromatherapy massage to help reduce physical aches, pains and stiffness and to promote relaxation, calm and positivity. Deep Tissue Massage will go deeper to release knots and congestion in muscles.

I also offer a clinical Aromatherapy consultation if you need help with physical or emotional issues but don't feel massage is going to be helpful. These appointments will offer you holistic advice with appropriate aromatherapy products using the essential oils. Therapy using essential oils is most effective over a period of time to allow an adjustment of appropriate oil blends as the condition improves, and as with any natural therapy that works with the body, time for the body systems to assimilate and respond to treatment.

Please feel free to contact me, as a clinical aromatherapist I can help. Complementary therapy aims to strengthen the vitalising, health-promoting forces within the body and is always concerned with treating the body holistically and encouraging the client to take an active role in their own health.

Aromatherapy is a therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and to restore lost balance to mind, body and soul. Robert Tisserand.

About me

After twenty years as a teacher I felt the need to become more personally involved with supporting and enhancing the health and well-being of those I came in contact with and a move to Devon, in particular the Exeter, Exmouth area became the motivation to rethink what I did.
I have always been interested in the therapeutic qualities of plants and while working for Culpeper , the herbal retailer, learnt much about the preparation and use of medicinal herbs as a complementary therapy. Experience of essential oils came later and informed my decision on which complementary therapy to study when I decided to change direction and retrain as an aromatherapist, a discipline that would allow me to express my own beliefs and values, work to my own standards and fulfil the desire to provide support and enhance the wellbeing of those suffering under the stresses and demands of modern life.

I qualified as a Clinical Aromatherapist in 2017 with an ITEC Level 3 Accredited Clinical Aromatherapy Diploma and in 2020 added a Level 4 Advanced Aromatherapy Diploma. In 2019 I added a Diploma in Skincare Formulation to my portfolio as I wanted to develop a skincare range that would use natural, active and enhancing ingredients to enable the skin to be the best it could be, whilst also using the therapeutic properties of essential oils to calm, uplift, and create a sense of well being.
